End of the School Year

The Final Countdown

This time of year brings mixed emotions for teachers and students. We have been super busy with great field trips, end of year assessments, profile sheets, report cards, and summer goal setting. What a whirlwind of amazing learning adventures! Of course we look forward to summer, but dread saying goodbye on the last day of school.

As we wrap up an amazing school year, and celebrate how much students have achieved, we are humbled by the countless blessings received by sharing their 3rd grade year with your awesome children. Each child is a wonderful gift, and holds a very special place in our hearts. Thank you for sharing them with us this year! We will truly miss seeing them as they travel to Norway for 4th grade next year. Thank you for partnering with us in making this a great year of learning and growth.

Summer Goals

We have met with each student to share their end of year assessment data and discuss summer goals. We are impressed with how much each child has grown academically, and with the hard work they have invested in their learning this year. We don't want that hard work to slip away on the notorious summer slide over the next few months.

Students are aware of the importance of reading, writing, and keeping math skills sharp over the summer. As little as 20-30 minutes a day makes a big difference in maintaining those hard-earned skills. We are sending home some summer work for students to do. Making it a part of your family's daily summer routine is the key. Students have gained a lot of stamina and interest in reading this year. Thank you for continuing to support and encourage these habits.

Upcoming Events

There are several big events scheduled during these final days of the school year!

Thank you for supporting students as they complete these projects. We hope it was an enjoyable shared learning experience!
