Please Note:
We go outside for recess whenever possible, weather permitting. Students are required to have boots, snowpants, coat, hat/hood, and gloves to wear outside at recess every day. We have spoken with our students and reminded them of this requirement. If you are unable to obtain these items for your child, please contact Candi in the office for assistance.
A separate pair of shoes is also needed to wear inside the building. PE shoes may be used for this purpose. Snow boots may not be worn inside the classroom. An extra pair of socks kept in a backpack would also be a good idea. These items are required to help protect students from cold, wet, and mud. Thank you for ensuring your child is prepared for outside recess.
One of our wonderful 3rd grade students is collecting dog and cat essential items for the Cedar Rapids Animal Shelter for a Girl Scout project. If your family would like to donate a dog or cat toy, food, treat, collar, leash, blanket, sweater, etc..., please send the item to school with your child to place in the collection box.
